Researches from the Universitat Politècnica de València, with Indra Sistemas, Inmomática Soluciones, MediaPro, Agile Contents, Ericsson Networks and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, have collaborated in the Immersive TV project: an approach to immersive media. Immersive TV investigates latest tendencies regarding to immersive digital contents production and the related value chain (production, transmission and reception), developing both interactivity and immersion beyond current 3D, which is two-bidimensional. In this way, it is expected that final user experiences the feeling of belonging to the own scenario is displaying, allowing to interact with it in any spatial direction.
Immersive TV TSI-020302-2010-61) is a project co-funded by the Spanish Ministerio de Industria, Energía y Turismo, whithin the Plan Nacional de Investigación Científica, Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica 2008-2011 and with Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER). The project have been carried out in the period 2010-12.
