CalSens, a spin-off from iTEAM, receives the “Premio a la colaboración Empresa-Universidad” from the Red de Parques Científicos Valencianos (rePCV)

CalSens has been awarded the “Premio a la colaboración Empresa-Universidad”  by the Red de Parques Científicos Valencianos (rePCV). This recognition highlights CalSens’ efforts in the field of research and development (R&D) in collaboration with Valencian public universities.

CalSens is known for its advanced 24/7 online monitoring services for structures and processes, providing advice, safety assessment, and decision-making support to ensure their proper functioning. The company has proven to be a fundamental pillar in the development of innovative technologies and the improvement of structural safety. Additionally, CalSens develops custom novel sensors for pressure, temperature, vibration, etc., for hostile environments, with a working range from cryogenic temperatures (10K) to very high temperatures (2000K), or detecting elements such as H2. They have made unique developments for ESA, Airbus, and Ford, among others.

The “Premio a la colaboración Empresa-Universidad” is granted to companies that have established a continuous and significant relationship with Valencian public universities through R&D programs and projects. These projects must have contributed not only to the close collaboration between academic and business institutions but also to the economic development of the Valencian region.

The Red de Parques Científicos Valencianos (rePCV) grants these awards with the aim of promoting the development and consolidation of companies created and developed with the support of the five scientific parks in the community. Additionally, they seek to foster entrepreneurial spirit and strengthen the relationships between universities and the business sector.
