Microwave Applications Group (GAM)

Since 1997, GAM has been a pioneer in developing advanced techniques for the design and analysis of high-frequency passive components (microwave and millimeter-wave), such as filters, multiplexers, or antenna matching and feeding networks. From classic waveguides to planar and hybrid solutions, they work with cutting-edge technologies that combine dielectrics, innovative reconfigurable elements, and advanced materials to offer innovative solutions for the space sector.

  • They design and manufacture passive components for large space communication platforms.
  • They perform modeling and experimental validation of high-power effects in communication systems for space applications.
  • They develop communication subsystems for nanosatellites, as well as solutions for satellite tracking ground stations.
  • They research and design extremely high-frequency components for the next generation of remote sensing and navigation satellites.

Moreover, their collaboration with renowned international institutions and leading companies in the space sector, such as Thales Alenia Space, EADS-CASA, or TESAT, stands out. They actively participate in the Espai Aero CV association and maintain a close relationship with the European Space Agency (ESA).

With 15 established experts on the team, along with technical staff and researchers in training, GAM continues to drive innovation in telecommunications for space applications.
