The Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM), in collaboration with the Polytechnic City of Innovation at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), held an informational workshop on December 9 focusing on Horizon Europe Co-funded Partnerships and CDTI’s Eurostars, as well as the Innovative Public Procurement (IPP) program by IVACE+i Innovation.
Narcís Cardona, Director of iTEAM, and Fernando Conesa, Director of UPV Innovation, inaugurated and closed the event, highlighting the importance of these initiatives in fostering innovation and public-private collaboration.
Yolanda Cárcel, Head of the Innovation in the Public Sector and Public Procurement of Innovation Service (IVACE+i), emphasized strategies to boost IPP in the Valencian Community, showcasing its role as a driver of transformation.
Sergio Lourense, Project Officer at CDTI, provided a detailed presentation on the Eurostars program, offering insights for businesses to participate in this international funding scheme.
Verónica Estruch, Program Manager for Agroecology Partnership at CDTI, addressed the Horizon Europe Co-funded Partnerships (Agroecology, FutureFoodS, AHW, CETP, DUT, Water4All, and SBEP), which aim to promote sustainable solutions across various strategic sectors.
Attendees gained insights into how Co-funded Partnerships facilitate the execution of strategic projects by combining European and national funds; how the Eurostars program supports SMEs in developing market-focused transnational R&D projects; and how IPP drives the adoption of disruptive technologies in the public sector.
The workshop stood out for offering practical tools and strategies to accelerate business growth, enhance companies’ impact in competitive environments, and overcome technological barriers. Additionally, the importance of these programs in facilitating access to global markets and positioning businesses as leaders in their sectors was underscored.
This workshop was organized by the team from the Scientific and Business Innovation Unit (UCIE) and the Innovation Agent that form iTEAM’s Innovation Unit.
