Vicente Boria Esbert, a prominent researcher and head of the Microwave Applications Group (GAM) at the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM) of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), has been honored with the prestigious UPV Research Prize for an Outstanding Career in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). This recognition highlights his exceptional contributions to advancing knowledge in his field and his commitment to scientific excellence.
The ceremony, marking the third edition of the UPV Research Prizes, took place on January 15 after being postponed due to the DANA storm. The event featured an innovative format, combining scientific outreach, music, and theater, emphasizing the role of research as a cultural and social driver.
With these awards, the Universitat Politècnica de València aims to promote and celebrate research activity, as well as the dissemination and transfer of knowledge generated by its researchers. Vicente Boria’s work in developing innovative microwave and high-frequency components and his leadership in high-impact research projects have been instrumental in earning this recognition.
