Researcher Jorge Sastre, from the Signal Processing Group (GTS) of the Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications Institute (iTEAM) at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), and researcher Nuria Lloret Romero, from the Institute of Design and Manufacturing, traveled to New York University (NYU) to advance a generative artificial intelligence project in collaboration with Peter Traver and Daniel Faronbi from the Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions at NYU, as well as with the multidisciplinary HiPerSC Group from UPV.
Additionally, during their visit, the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) invited both researchers to lead a workshop on Soundcool, an innovative collaborative music and audiovisual creation system based on mobile devices and tablets.
Soundcool, developed by Sastre, Lloret, and their team, has gained international recognition for its ability to foster creativity and collective participation in music and visual arts. During their visit, they worked with academics and students to explore new applications of the platform in educational and artistic settings, strengthening collaboration between NYU and UNLV in the fields of technology and musical creation.
