Day of Creativity and Innovation

At iTEAM, we believe that change and evolution are only possible through constant innovation and research. We work daily to generate knowledge through research, as demonstrated by the innovative ecosystem we have created.

We are proud to have created more than 60 patents, six spin-offs, and one start-up, whose contributions to society are becoming increasingly significant.  Las spin-offs

  • Aurora Sat (2008): Now part of the Dassault Systèmes industrial group, it commercializes high-frequency component design software (FEST3D), developed at iTEAM in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA).
  • VLC Photonics (2011): Acquired by the Japanese multinational Hitachi High-Tech, it provides design services for photonic devices and their integration into chips.
  • Calsens (2013): Offers process and structure monitoring services, safety evaluation consulting, and decision-making support to ensure proper operation based on fiber optic sensors.
  • iPronics (2019): Designs, develops, and manufactures generic hardware architectures capable of implementing multiple functions through the programming of parameters in integrated photonic chips.
  • Fivecomm (2019): Develops applications, systems, and industrial 5G devices.
  • Hybpic (2025): A spin-off focused on hybridizing different technologies in integrated photonic circuits.

Innovation is key to the consolidation of spin-offs, just as the protection and transfer of research results are fundamental to transforming ideas into advanced technologies. At iTEAM, we foster an innovation ecosystem that connects research with society.
