A full set of active and passive optical components (EDFA and SOA amplifiers, Photo-receivers, polarization controllers, de/multiplexors circulators, couplers, isolators, fibre links, etc.) as well as a set of high frequency electrical devices (amplifiers, couplers, attenuators, cables, loads, etc.) allow the experimental implementation of optical communication systems and the characterization of optical components.
