Research Area

Wireless Communications

Description

MAIN TASKS/FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:

- Review of dielectric properties reported in the literature of liquid and solid materials for performing electromagnetic exposure measurements for 5G/6G networks, in different environments.

- Development of liquid materials in millimeter band that replicate the dielectric properties of the human body.

- Measurement by open coaxial probe and high performance vector network analyzer of broadband dielectric properties (up to 67 GHz) of liquid and solid materials.

- Evaluation of human exposure up to 67 GHz to electromagnetic waves in the developed materials, drawing conclusions and proposals for improvement.

- Review of the state of the art of liquid and solid materials with variable and configurable dielectric properties through the application of external stimuli, for use in millimeter band 5G/6G communications.

- Proposal and fabrication of reconfigurable materials, which can work in all communication bands of future 5G/6G systems.
