I graduated in Physics in 2011 from the University of Valencia joining that same year the University of Groningen (The Netherlands) to perform my Bachelor Thesis based on single molecule microscopy. Two years later, I obtained my Master degree in Photonics from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, developing my Thesis on biophotonics at the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO). From those experiences I acquired relevant research skills as handling of experimental optical setups, optical software implementation and English technical reporting (written and oral). After that, I joined the Photonic Research Labs (at UPV) as PhD student to start my research career. My work was focused on simulation, design and characterization of integrated optical components in a new SiN technology that were secondly implemented in the development of an integrated spectroscopic sensor based on an AWG architecture. I have also participated in two external projects driven by Huawei company: the first one related to the development of optical phase arrays for LIDAR applications and the second one regarding the development of hybrid technology platforms. Since 2021, I am working as Facility Manager at UPVfab, a clean-room laboratory from UPV, being closely involved in the technological development and manufacturing of PICs.
